The playground of our childhood

Underneath the stars
And dancing lights
We remain still
Mesmerized by the
Beauty of life
Where time can
Be stopped
As our poems
Float into the wind
For what better thing
Is there
Than to laugh and play
With one another
Where it feels
As though
We have returned
To the playground
Of our childhood
Mesmerized by the
Colours of this life
Where time has been placed
In the palm of our hands
A gift that asks
What will you do
With these seconds?
So, we stop speaking
Of the future and the past
And, instead we learn
To laugh and play
With one another
Where it feels
As though we have returned
To the playground
Of our childhood
Underneath the stars
And dancing lights
